THE HISTORY OF
CRUOR VENA

A long time ago, the lands of Cruor Vena was once a paradise where its inhabitants used to live in peaceful harmony but fighting broke out between the mortals and the lands have suffered since. The elders, being half-immortal, were wise and magical beings and they came together in attempt to put an end to the fighting. The cleverest of them had the idea that they should summon the old magics and make themselves warriors. The others agreed to this and they began the ritual.

The first was fashioned from the stars, his pelt was the purest of white and he was named Abraxos. Abraxos had a caring, good-hearted nature, he pitied the mortals and did not wish for them to be exterminated. He believed that there was good in them. The second was made from the shadows, his pelt was as black as ashes. He was named Vassago and quite unlike the first, he was cunning and tricky. He possessed a secretive nature that was wicked and corrupt. He was so intrigued by the mortals hunger for destruction that he to began to desire power and carnage like they did. The third was created from the earth, her pelt was quite different from the others, being a leaf green in colour, her mane was black and she had markings that resembled vines. She was named Dionyza and her passion was for nature, she adored the world around her and did not wish to get involved with the fighting.

Vassago was not quite right in the mind and he was convinced that the elders were conspiring against him. They favoured Abraxos over him and so he grew jealous of him. He did not like that the elders held the end of his leash so he killed them all, stripping them of their powers and letting the magics fill his own being. When Abraxos learned of this he hurried to the castle, he arrived just in time as one of the elders had survived but barely. He was in the state of dying and his last act was to give his powers to Abraxos whom he believed would be able to defeat Vassago and save them.

Abraxos went to find Vassago and they fought. It was a battle that would decide the future of Cruor Vena and in the end neither triumphed as the third immortal, Dionyza, finally got in between the two. She punished them by forcing them to live out their lifes as mortals do. They made their own tribes, Lumos and Crucio, in which they hoped they would be able to live in some kind of peace. But will their descendants be able to live up to that? Only time will tell before the Crucio tribe decide to take control and what of the Protego tribe? The ones who are mixed in bloodlines.
